Created in the early 70's by a local newspaper publisher, they brought me on to rebrand the magazine with a more community-driven feel. The objective set forth by the publisher was to create a publication that placed primary focus on the locals that helped define Malibu, without alienating the obvious celebrity draw the area had. The result was a publication that offered an equal distribution of local and celebrity coverage. Done in a way that kept community truly informed.
