As the initial architect of the CrowdStrike brand, I helped developed a strategic identity of what would become a dominant force in the cybersecurity industry. Drawing from my background in the video game world, I attempted to gamify the brand's narrative. Instead of framing threats as abstract lines of code, I personified them as distinct, formidable bosses—complete with rich lore and propaganda style character designs like the infamous nation-state Bears, Pandas, and Spiders. This visceral, adversary-focused approach made complex threat intelligence highly accessible and framed the daily reality of cybersecurity as a high-stakes battle. My work started in 2013 and continued through and beyond their IPO.
