As the initial architect of the CrowdStrike brand, I helped developed a strategic identity of what would become a dominant force in the cybersecurity industry. Drawing from my background in the video game world, I attempted to gamify the brand's narrative. Instead of framing threats as abstract lines of code, we personified them as distinct, formidable bosses—complete with rich lore and propaganda style character designs like the infamous nation-state Bears, Pandas, and Spiders. This visceral, adversary-focused approach made complex threat intelligence highly accessible and framed the daily reality of cybersecurity as a high-stakes battle. My work started in 2013 and continued through and beyond their IPO.
